Eloïse Brezault

Born in 1976 in Agen (France), Eloise Brezault obtained her PhD in Contemporary African literature from the University of Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle and currently lives in New York. She taught media and culture theories in New York University and is now Visiting Professor in comparative literature in Wagner College (New York City). Assistant editor for the academic review of CIEF, New Francophone Studies, she published a volume of interviews with Francophone African writers: Afrique.Paroles d’écrivains (Editions Mémoires d’encrier, 2010). Her research focuses on the evolution of contemporary Francophone and Anglophone novels, world-literature, immigration literature, and on the relationships between postcolonial literatures and Francophonie.
