Corinna Bille
Writing has been for S. Corinna Bille (1912-1979) more that a breathing: an urgency and a break/deferment. Her work is like a “horn of plenty” with about 50 books published in the most diverse genres for a varied readership: poetry, novel, drama, short stories, short proses. Her books explore a very personal path, between auto-fiction and fiction, between attachment to a place and desire to go where “nobody was going.” The novels and short stories take often place in the country which means the traditional Valais, the reader is constantly confronted to a change of scene in a world where real and dream coexist. Corilla Bille has a great understanding of the structure of the story and her unique voice gives to her readership the feeling to live.
